We take care to deliver the best possible product.  From careful ingredient sourcing and testing, to continuously improving our process, we dedicate our time to making the best fly food so you don’t have to.  We stand behind our products:  when sealed, we guarantee every vial will be in good usable condition through the expiration date printed on every tray.

Molasses

The classic Drosophila media in the tradition of Calvin Bridges, our standard brown food is a nutritional blend of quality molasses, enriched cornmeal, and inactivated yeast.

  • 00.6% Agar
  • 04.6% Cornmeal
  • 02.3% Yeast
  • 07.8% Molasses Solids
  • 00.3% Propionic Acid
  • 00.1% Methylparaben
  • 00.5% Ethanol

Corn syrup-soy

Our standard white food, comparable to that currently in use at the Bloomington Stock Center, is a nutritional blend of corn syrup, enriched cornmeal, and inactivated yeast, with the addition of soy flour.

  • 06.1% Corn Syrup Solids
  • 00.3% Propionic Acid
  • 00.1% Methylparaben

Maltose

This nutritional blend of malt sugar, enriched cornmeal, and inactivated yeast is great for supporting larval growth and is an all-around good media for culturing stocks as well as supporting crosses.
